Northwood University
Welcome to my website! My name is Gabriel, and I am originally from Manaus, a splendid city nestled in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. Holding the role of Assistant Professor and honored as a Bretzlaff Scholar at Northwood University, my academic pursuits revolve around the realm of Austrian economics and the history of economic thought. My scholarly journey entails a deep dive into the intellectual heritage of various economists and political philosophers, including figures such as F.A. Hayek, Abba Lerner, Oskar Lange, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich List, and John Locke. Additionally, I find the complexity of human behavior as it emerges across various institutional frameworks to be utterly fascinating. This fascination motivates me to investigate both the rigorous and strict systems of present and past socialist economies and the spontaneous patterns that evolved in medieval Europe and continue to impact our modern world.
