Welcome to my website! My name is Gabriel, and I'm a third-year Ph.D. candidate and research fellow at the Political Economy Research Institute at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). I am originally from Manaus - a gorgeous city in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. I moved to the U.S. in 2016 to pursue my undergraduate education. In 2020, I earned my B.A. in Economics at Wake Forest University, and in 2021 I earned my M.A. in Economics at MTSU. I previously worked as a Research Assistant at the Wake Forest University School of Law. Currently, I work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Jennings A. Jones College of Business, teaching Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. My research interest lies within the realm of Political Economy.
